Summary of Program: Critical reading, like critical thinking, involves patterns. The ThoughtPrint® system creates a matrix of meaning patterns. Reading in a new way allows you to focus on the Triggers, or anchors, of thought. You will expand what you see and create frameworks for words rather than concentrating solely on the words themselves. Using a unique color-coded system, you will highlight the ThoughtPrints® of major writers to actually see pieces of writing in a new way. Then, the practice and the works of major writers will transfer to case studies of business writing. By the end of the seminar, participants will have learned to assess the thought processes of peers or of business documents in their own workplaces.
